AM3 Small Evaporator

1. Product Introduction

The small evaporator is a metal circular basin with a diameter of 20 cm and a height of 10 cm. The rim of the basin is shaped like a blade edge. To prevent birds and animals from drinking, a trumpet-shaped wire mesh ring is fitted over the top of the rim. During measurement, the instrument is placed on a stand with the rim 70 cm above the ground. A fixed amount of clean water is added daily, and after 24 hours, the remaining water is measured with a measuring cup. The amount of water reduced is the evaporation amount. Each day, a 2 cm deep water layer is added to the evaporation dish. In the evening, the remaining water is poured into a measuring cup to determine the remaining water depth. The daily evaporation amount is calculated by subtracting the remaining water depth from 20 cm. If there is rainfall on that day, the precipitation amount must be deducted from the remaining water. This is why the diameter of the evaporation dish and its height above the ground must be consistent with those of the rain gauge. Otherwise, the two cannot be simply subtracted.
